About

Est. 1994

Esquivel X, the collection, was born out of our desire to create an accessible luxury category. We believebeautiful products should be enjoyed by more people and that attractive design and great craftsmanshipneed not be only ultra luxe. As we expand theproduct line, we are excited to partner with likemindedartisans here locally in Southern California and around North America.

Esquivel X, the concept, was born from an attitude that we need to always give back, and never forget where we came. The definition of X to us is a mathematical equationX= hope+ food + love. Over the years, we have partnered with organizations and individuals to feed the hungry, mentor & support at risk youth, inspire the youth through art classes and help to direct lives via life changing scholarships. As we continue to grow, you have our pledge that we will always strive to love and support our communities.Stay tuned for upcoming projects and collaborations.

George operates his namesake brand from an atelier in the arts district of Downtown Los Angeles. His specialized atelier produces a maximum capacity of 4,000 pairs of entirely hand-made shoes, men’s and women’s designated for select retailers and personal clients throughout the world. Trained in shoemaking, George designs with a hands-on approach, working closely with his team of craftsmen that he has personally mentored.

Tumi Inc., a renowned luxury bag and luggage brand, appointed George Esquivel as Creative Director from January 2013 to July 2015. Esquivel’s impact was seen through press and editorial publications and launching the brand with coveted retailers such as Colette (Paris), Net-a-Porter and Mr. Porter. George oversaw the creative direction for design, ad campaigns, and was re-sponsible for uniting high-profile designers to collaborate with Tumi, such as Public School.
